Encryption Services PIC uses IPsec protocols to offer authentication and privacy services at the network layer for both IPv4 and IPv6. The flexible and extensible IPsec protocols support a wide range of services including authentication origin data integrity confidentiality replay protection and non-repudiation of the source. IPsec also defines mechanisms for key generation and exchangemanagement of security associations and support for digital certificates.
