A video featuring series creator Michel Ancel highlighted how this new 2D platformer creates a new gameplay dynamic due to the different roles players take on depending on which controller they use. The capabilities of the Wii U GamePad™ allow for a very tactile interaction with the game world such as pulling objects turning parts of the level around or shielding other players and requires ongoing communication between all players to succeed.
